After several yachts are already on the road with the multiplex multiflap – including some of the world’s largest formats – the Bremen-based manufacturer is now offering an addition to this bestseller.

Extremely light weight yet with maximum load capacity are just two demands made on yachting equipment nowadays. As part of multiplex’s commitment to pursuing the demand for cutting-edge manufacturing techniques and innovative materials, it has developed the multiflap – a gangway manufactured from a 100% carbon fibre base. This provides a wide range of benefits exclusive to the use of this special material. The multiflap is light, stable and resistant to deformation. It is also weather-proof, which means that neither wind nor seawater can cause any harm.

After several yachts are already on the road with the multiplex multiflap – including some of the world’s largest formats – the Bremen-based manufacturer is now offering an addition to this bestseller, which is particularly interesting for provisioning purposes. A roller conveyor can now be placed on the multiflap, which is manufactured to fit the passarelle of the respective yacht exactly. With this flexible and mobile solution, crews can load the yacht much more easily and quickly by placing the conveyor with its plastic rollers on the gangway, placing the heavy goods on it and transporting them on board. Jan Reiners, founder and managing director of Multiplex, says: „The inspiration for this product came – as so often – from one of our customers. He asked us how loading could be made more convenient. Walking over a gangway with heavy luggage, possibly still with a good swell, can be not only tedious but also dangerous“.

The multiplex roller conveyor solves this problem in an uncomplicated way and is of course available in any length and width. Reiners: „We adapt the product to every yacht and requirement. Our production is extremely flexible and it is not for nothing that we are considered the first address of many owners, shipyards and captains all over the world“.

The first roller conveyors have already been ordered and are currently close to being delivered to the customer – a yacht of more than 100 metres in length.
