As Captain of the motor yacht Yasmine of the Sea, an 83-metre Oceanco-built vessel, I have been working with MULTIPLEX for several years and have established an excellent professional relationship with their team.
We have installed three MULTIPLEX awnings on board: one on the main deck aft, one on the upper deck aft, and one on the sun deck forward. Throughout the season, we keep the awnings permanently deployed, both during navigation and at anchor, sometimes in relative wind conditions exceeding 30 knots.
Their products have consistently proven to be highly resistant, aesthetically pleasing, and easy to deploy and fold. MULTIPLEX developed the design and shape of the pol es and awnings specifically to complement the yacht’s form, ensuring improved performance and seamless integration with the superstructure lines. This has significantly enhanced the appearance of this 25-year-old vessel, giving her a much more modern and refined look.
More recently, the awnings have been upgraded with the integration of a water misting system, providing an additional level of comfort for the Owner and Guests.
MULTIPLEX has also supplied us with a 5-metre carbon fibre gangway, approved by Lloyd’s Register, which we use as an extension to both the side boarding ladders and the main gangway. The product is safe, aesthetically pleasing, easy to handle, and can be conveniently stowed in its dedicated storage bag.
